Maite Hernandez Zubeldia, a design-thinking trainer from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Berlin, trained the core team in early April 2019.

The brief the team worked on was to redesign the education experience of mid-school learners in Batticaloa. Design thinking has been part of the teaching method here since that month.
