The underwater glider, pitched by Shanjeevan Amalanathan and Thanushkar Srikaran, was selected in the top three nationally in the Generation Unlimited Youth Challenge, run by UNICEF and UNDP.
The glider was built on this workshop floor and was named in the Parliament of Sri Lanka the following year.
It is recorded as a prototype. A prototype that impressed judges and legislators is not the same as a solution somebody depends on, and DreamSpace Academy does not claim the second.
