April 2021 is the earliest dated evidence of the Software Lab, which grew into a full software, web and artificial-intelligence teaching track.
By September the lab’s guardian, Gunarakulan Gunaratnam, was publishing online teaching in software engineering with instruction in both Tamil and English. Software careers are hard to reach in this district because the teaching mostly exists only in English.
The April date comes from a photograph folder and does not by itself settle when the lab formally opened.
