Seed grants were awarded to eleven social-innovation ideas at the Sarvodaya Education Development Centre in Batticaloa on 8 November 2021, with the District Secretary of Batticaloa, K. Karunakaran, taking part.
The programme was Sarvodaya Shanthi Sena Sansadaya’s work on economically viable solutions that promote social cohesion and counter the drivers of violent extremism, funded by UNDP Sri Lanka. DreamSpace Academy joined as the incubator. The teams were introduced publicly later that month, and virtual workshops followed on branding in December and on finance and accounting for startups shortly after.
The grant event and the incubation programme are one entry because they were one thing.
