Two workshops, on 20 April and 3 May 2023, exploring whether living architecture could work here: houses, and eventually whole settlements, grown rather than built, taking the root bridges of Meghalaya in India as the precedent.
The second session was more specific: a circular staircase built around a palmyra tree, and how to attach steps to a living trunk without killing it.
