Eric Walsh, High Commissioner of Canada to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, visited again in August 2024, sixteen months after his first visit, this time to the newly opened MakerSpace, meeting the grassroots innovators.

It is the fourth Canadian visit in the record and not the last.
