The Digital Security School ran its first trainer-of-trainers programme from 25 August 2024, with a second beginning on 16 October and running to the 19th.
Trainers from a range of backgrounds were equipped in cybersecurity, digital risk assessment and safe online practice, with the content adapted for Sri Lankan media professionals. The second programme opened with a recap and a working session on the curriculum and materials themselves, with the trainers shaping what they would go on to teach.
The school is the academy’s role in IREX’s PRO-INFO programme, with technical assistance from eQualitie and support from USAID Sri Lanka.
