DreamSpace Academy was a project partner on “Weather Reports: Sounding Sri Lanka’s Climate Across Diaspora and Homeland”, supported through the British Council’s Connections through Culture programme.
The work is a trilingual climate sound and performance piece bringing together ten Sri Lankan and United Kingdom artists, presented during Colomboscope. Imaad Majeed led on the Sri Lankan side and Cassie Layton on the UK side.
It sits in the same year as Dinoj Mahendranathan’s selection for the Arthshila and Colomboscope development residency in West Bengal, where he was the only Sri Lankan participant. Both are climate work arriving as sound rather than as a prototype.
