A makerspace in the public library, opened by the President

Co-created with the Municipal Council at the Batticaloa Public Library, and inaugurated by the President of Sri Lanka.

A makerspace co-created with the Batticaloa Municipal Council opened at the Batticaloa Public Library, inaugurated by the President of Sri Lanka, with DreamSpace Academy presenting its work.

A makerspace inside a public library is free at the point of use, open to anyone who walks in, and owned by the municipality rather than by DreamSpace Academy.

In February 2019 the organisation was advertising a free community library and asking parents to bring their children in to use it. Seven years later the library has a workshop in it, opened by the head of state.
